This is the run that LC expects may show an eastern shift. If not, there's still tomorrow but it sure would be nice if this run trends south and east. We'll know soon.

Well, it's the GFS that i'm looking forward to. The Nam hasn't been one of my favorite winter storm models anyway. Euro and GFS baby!

Well, on the bright side -- the NAM did trend slightly further south with the primary, but too little too late. Still has a coastal hugger with rain up to the north pole.

Snowfreak188, it's even worse than that. We have an arctic front moving in Monday night and arctic air following the storm. This whole winter has made no sense.

Snowfreak188, I'm certain this storm has everyone, including the pros, completely confused. If the 00z GFS follows suit, it'll be interesting how much of these runs Upton and Mount Holly buy into in their morning forecasts. Both offices have already hedged on their current forecasts because they're doubting the models. However, with such run to run consistency (presuming the 00Z GFS shows the same), they'll have no choice but to bail and call for a snow to rain event (ice inland).

By the way, only starts the 0z gfs run if you feel lucky. If you dont lay off...so, who feels lucky tonite.

This storm is so confusing,the mets this morning especially jeff beradelli and smith said a major snowstorm with 1-2 feet and blizzard conditions and now the mods r calling for rain,i just dont get it at all,its gonna be cold enough and plus that high is in the right place and when it bombs,cold air will be drawn in from the front

By the way -- just checked soundings and the 00z NAM is actually a serious ice storm for NW NJ -- surface temps < 32 throughout:
