Just got back from club/bar in allentown. Snowing pretty good up there, roads and main highways all covered. Just got back here in washington. Its snowing all roads are covered. I am a little buzzed but i will try to go take pics.  :happy:

Damn you're lucky!  Still nothing here on SI.  Weather.com radar showed some over me just half an hour ago but it was just virga and broke up quickly anyway.  Radar shows a good batch coming my way so I'm hoping to be watching snow in an hour or so.  I just hope the dew point goes up soon as it's way down currently.

i wish i came from a bar, but i just got done doing a baby (8mo old) feeding... i went to bed at 12 am and nothing outside, woke up at 3am to EVERYTHING snow covered with a good half inch- inch... SSWWEETTTT!!!! :biggrin:

19.9 degrees here in poughkeepsie ny at 444 am, i can smell snow in the air but overcast now, my winter storm watch has been downgraded to a winter weather advisory >:( :(

Snowing nicely now.  Not particularly heavy but it's already coating the cars and the sidewalk looks like it'll be getting a coating soon too!

Snowing heavier now.  Even the sidewalk and the road outside are turning white.
Temperature is dropping rapidly now too.  Went from 26.8 to 25.7 in a matter of ten minutes.

It's beautiful out there now.  Nice steady snow fall.  The road is covered, the sidewalk is covered and now the grass is getting coated too.  We got back around 2 am from a friends b/day party and when I looked at the radar and saw the snow was almost on us I decided to pull an all nighter.  I'm glad I did now  :biggrin:

Hello everyone. I fell asleep around 2:45 a.m. and woke up around 5:15 a.m. to see everything covered in snow. There's no traffic whatsoever so the snow in the street doesn't even have tire marks. Very pretty, even if it doesn't last. Looks like we're no longer expected to have icing in between the snow and the rain. That's good because around 3 pm my husband and I are driving into the city to see Spamalot and have dinner. If it's icy, I guess we'll take the train.  It's 18 degrees right now.

about 1/2-3-4 inch here in bwater very pretty out there. i seem to have reached my predicted snowfall amount already.  how u holding up brit? looks like u pulled an all nighter ;)

Feeling pretty good actually.  I'm just enjoying watching the snow fall and looking at the radar it looks like there's a fair bit more to come before the changeover

I saw the report for NYC where someone highlighted no icing in between, so I thought that would carry over for here too.  But you're right, I just looked at my last advisory.  Freezing rain before turning to all rain.  I just hope that happens before we need to get on the road. What can I say, I'm half asleep!  Going back to bed now.

wow i woke up to a nice sight a about .25in of snow :smile: and coming down in a good clip.

Im not measuring because it is to early for me  ;). However i cant see any grass in my front yard so I am assuming about 1 1/2 to 2 inches

also temp is 19.1 :ohmy: looks liek ill be seeing snow for a while :smile: humidity is 85% with dewpoint 15

Ok time for a booster cup of coffee!  Also waiting for the snow to start to fall again as the weather.com radar clearly shows I should be having snow right now.  Nothing happening yet.

i got nice 1" or little less here in piscataway but i called my employee and she told me that she think we have 3" in montage mountain area.

you measured :nowink:, Im only guessing by looks,though my wife went out and said its about an inch.

Started snowing about 6:30ish here. Brought a tear to my eye! Have a pretty good coating already. More than I expected already. Any more is just gravy!

Yes, I'm a nut. BTW, looks like most will be happy and claim some type of victory on this. Despite this being a big rain event later, the coastal plain will have some white on the ground and, even if only an inch or so -- that's an accumulation so I'm busted on that. This is not the storm, nor the dynamics, that many hoped for but WAA (warm air aloft overriding before the main event). Still snow however.

The snow is getting heavier here again. Just smacked 1" inch in the face. The temp dropped from 18 to 16 now. Why are the temps dropping?
