The coastal is beginning to crank...once we see a NORTH EAST movement w/ the pcp all bets are off and this advisory can be pushed even further back till early am hours. Temps are holding at the lower levels and if this continues, w/ the possible low forming a bit more south...meaning arctic air is not only winning the fight, but we will precipitate longer too.
Nowcast at it's best the next couple hous. Things can get icy.

Timing is key...If we do not see that batch start movig NE in the next couple hours say by 9...then ebts are off.
Temps will hold below freezing IMO till atleast about 10
++rn is suppose to move in, and when it does and we are still below freezing it going to be horrendous out there.

While it would be nice to see more frozen precip, I think that Henry does a pretty good job of explaining what's gonna happen. It depends how far north and west you are but warm front is the issue with the temps rising.

That's not the point....we all know it's going to rain....
But if the temp is 32...and below..forget it. Going to be real dangerous.

Still 19 here, and a very fine mist of of thicker than rain, not quite snow just began to fall. In the light it looks like fine sugar.

He's gets funnier and wilder by the moment. Now he's worried and hopes that the air doesn't cool dynamically to bring hvy snow to eastern Pa or se NY. Henry's the only one on the planet worried about that. The weather map has changed so much that it has now effectively turned the arctic air into a back door cold front with real shallow cold air. How the heck do you even think snow in that set-up for the areas he's worried about.

Queens has no chance, and I'm from Flushing.
I am living here in NE VT and we are getting heavy snow now. Over a foot possibly by Tuesday morning.
