Back to normal temps and with Rain. NYC forecast calls for Rain and seasonable temps..40s.. for days and days.  A cold Rain in December is boring.  Hope we can get some arctic air down in time. At least the 50s are gone.  They were forecasting 50s for highs just days ago.  Now, they have lower the temps a bit.  Still, not cold enough for snow at that point of time.  A few snow showers here yesterday, but only amounted to a dusting here.  dusting's in December are just plain silly.  We need a big one folks.  I hope we get major changes in the weather pattern next week, since it will be stormy and get a nice storm here up the coast. A blizzard would be nice. We will see..keep hope alive and stay optimistic .

Temps have already been knocked down 10 degrees from where they were yesterday - near 50 to near 40. See the thread "Mt. Holly VS Upton" for my thoughts on next week. I suspect the cooling trend isn't finished with that powerful low level cold just waiting in the wings over southern Canada.

Normal daytime highs in NYC are around 45 degrees - low 40s would be slightly below normal and depending on cloud cover we will see what lows drop to - it looks like early next week kind of on the cloudy side so lows and highs may not be too far apart
