If you don't mind me asking was not you goal to donate 280.00 i think now 400? how come.

Originally our goal was 200, then we moved it up to 250, and then we boosted it to 400.  We have been receiving so many generous donations and we hope that more donations are coming that we felt it was appropriate to raise the goal.

I guess understand but i felt Little weird because i was going to donate then thought twice when you did that.I think it is great so many people have donated and i have been on her since the beginning but next time maybe you should just do that Little different,and set a goal,let everyone know how great it turned out and then do it again when needed and i know it is needed and costly.
Now a days there are just to many people with there hands out and who is to say we know if it is all going to the web site if the goal keeps changing.I know Tristate asks for donations as well as other sites but it was just a thought so please don't get mad and i hope to donate when i get paid next time,you all do a great service and i love the site.

Trust me, we are not pocketing any money.  Running a website isn't free!  The site you mentioned recently ran a donation drive and their goal was $2995....I think our goal is a lot more reasonable so I was a little surprised when people were asking about it.  We raised the goal because of the amount of positive feedback we got, however I understand why raising the goal is surprising to some.  Our original goal was the minimum amount of money we would need for our next upgrade, so when we saw that the original goal would likely be surpassed, we increased it a small amount and then again to its current level so that we would have a reserve in case we needed for additional expendatures.

I hope this clears things up.

Thats ok.  We understand not everyone can donate.

However if it is just the credit card she is concerned about you can mail us a check.

Same here,i would love to donate to for this website,im always on here and i love being on here.its the best weather site out there but i got no credit card and my parents dont have any to

I think Brett did start the goal too low. I think he started the goal at the bare minimal so as not to give us sticker shock. They then raise it to try to get some extra money to do some improvement's to the site. Banwith add ons Etc. If the $200 goal was met people would stop donating. Then they would not be able to do any of the upgrades.

I think this was already said and completely understood! this is why sometimes i hate e mail. Its just you set you goals and upgrades for a certain time period ask for that amount and see what happens if you get more great!and next time ask for more thats the way nonprofits do it as well.Tristate sets the bar higher because they have been around longer and have more upgrades but good for them if they can get 2,000 if they need it.They also have alto of members and as  this board grows in popularity they may have to ask for the same to continue.

Thats the chances of you getting snow the rest of the year!!! LOL I think if they warn you for making obsen posts etc. It will show that they warned you before they take action (ban, time out etc.)

It is probably because your file is too large, go to www.tinypic.com and load them; or re size them

The warn bar shows if we warn you for doing something you shouldn't. It is much more efficient than having to PM you.
