This isn't a big deal, but I hit one of the blue sqares just to the left of the topics on the homepage of the forum. What do they mean and how do I get it unclicked?

The blue squares signify new posts, when you click one of them it makes all of the new posts read in that specific forum section. You cannot make it blue again, it will turn blue when a new post has been make in that section.

I need to change them. They look devilish
