For the first time in human history, ice is on course to disappear entirely from the North Pole this year.

How come the oceans didn't rise. I thought we would be under water if that happened.

Here's a very pretty pix, especially if you love winter, but it's not the north pole. It's a launching spot for a trek to the pole and it had just snowed apparently. This is an April image.
