Took the kids fishing behind our yard, theres some town property (70+ acres)

There were more bear prints than deer prints. This one was bigger than I could open my hand

My camera doesn't pick up color the way i would like. Believe me these were much better in person. Anyway took these today over northern Sussex County where it is definitely peak. I think they are better viewed at the reduced size.

These are from Stokes State Forest...

Sawmill Lake

Heading up High Point Mountain

Sat, Nice pic's! Might take the kids hiking up Weldon Rd (Saffern Pond) on Mon.

still looks like a lot of green sat, I wouldnt consider that near peak imo

lab, nice shot of the bears. You couldnt believe my bad luck. I have been trying all summer to get the up close bear shots but my friend needed his camera back so I gave it to him Saturday morning. Well guess what, the sobs came back last night. They tour the garbage can apart that I kept the corn in and took off with it in the woods.

yup, talk about being disappointed. Just another kick to the face to me from the year 2008.

If it looks any green it must be because of the camera. It just doesn't pick up color that well. Believe me in person there was no green at all. I'll definitely have to work on getting a new camera. This was a free one anyway.

rgwp We are very close to peak. The majority of the area is at peak with the exception of High Point highest elevations. Thats because of the gypsy moths infestation this summer and most of the trees are oak wich are the last to turn. By the end of this week we will be at peak and possibly past.
My brothers camera did not pick up the colors, too much light. This has been a hard year for pictures. I have taken a hundred pictures and nothing worth keeping. Its been way too sunny. I need a filter on my camera.

These photos I took at Saffin Pond (part of the park system) its only a few miles from me. I would say it was peak yesterday. You can see the leaves falling in the photos. Like others said, with the bright sun, it is hard to get the true colors. I guess we need a filter on it.
Any way These are the better of the bunch. I just posted the link so I dont fill up the page

Nice pictures lab I think we are also past peak. Peak conditions were very short lived. My entire yard is covered with leaves now.
Saffin pond area is nice. I have been their a few times hiking. Been a while since I was last their.
