its cool because all the trees up there are bare now but over here they still have their leaves

Hi everyone, my name is Paul, and I am a Snowaholic.

Paul -- Great photos; thanks for posting. BTW, the 14" recorded at High Point makes it the official NJ state record for most snow ever in October. That goes with a host of other state snowfall records that High Point already holds, including most in one season -- 122" in the '95/'96 winter.

Rgwp96 -- Did some snowfall stat checking tonight (gone are the days of going out to dinner since the new baby) -- anyway, Charlotteburg Reservoir which is practically in your backyard broke 100" in the '95/'96 season and there were 3 other winters when they went 90"+. Quite a few in the 80"+ category. Oak Ridge where Lab lives also broke 100" in the '95/'96 season.

Those are amazing numbers, Robbs. That was truly a historic winter. Maybe once-in-a-lifetime in these parts. Those are snowfall amounts you'd typically see in Upstate New York.

Devilsfan -- As each year passes, you increasingly realize how special and rare the '95/'96 winter was. In addition to the blizzard which everyone remembers, there was a steady stream of moderate snowfalls that seemed to occur almost every few days.
