Can't say I matched the official 10.1 inches listed for West Milford Saturday evening. I am in lower part of town, about 10 minutes south and a lower elevation than Robbbs. The upper part of town (Greenwood Lake) section usually takes the crown and I assume that's where 10.1 came from. We got about 6 1/2 yesterday, about 3 this morning, and there was a bit of settling/melting when these were taken.

nice pics. On that 10.1 robbbs and I both believe 100% that was a bogus amount. Notice they had to be the top in the entire upton area with a 10.1 when the next highest was way up in orange cnty with 10. Robbbs also believes there have been a few other bogus call ins from that same person. Robbbs measured 8.5 as did a friend of mine in west milford. As for your 6.5 where did you measure? I hope you didnt use that table since it will be lower than your actual amount. Some of the snow will slide off. Are you in High crest lake section? If so im only a few miles from you.

Hey RGW,

Thank you for the reply. Yes, we are in High Crest. Nice to hear you and Robbbs think the 10.1 was..optimistic..., and that Robbb's reading was closer to mine- I was feeling gypped! Seeing 10.1 on TWC's certainly got my attention as an outliner, as Oakland and Butler reported 8.

That 6 1/2 from yesterday was indeed off the picnic table- As there was no blowing or wind to speak off, it seemed OK to measure off that- I did not consider slide off when it was coming down so straight. So, perhaps we got a bit more than I thought- maybe 7 and change yesterday, three more the morning, perhaps an honest 10 all told.

I measured 7.5 and 3 today. Have about 8.5-9 left on the ground. seems to be about an inch or so melted or compacted during the day. I recognized the area , my cousin lives on the lake rd on the club house side.
