Well back where real winter is. Not too cold today at all, was in the 20's with a few flurries when I pulled in.

A lot of snow on the ground, although not what it was last year (35-45" at one point). Officially 22" of snow on the ground, although looks like well over 2 feet. Piles are pretty impressive. We'll see if we can add to this coming up. The last picture is our frozen water fountain...

Wish I could've gotten some better ones but I was driving whistle.png

Ha I was waiting for a response for that. Frozen water fountain that just happens to look like a certain part of the body...
Affectionately titled the Snow P***s. We even have contests for it called Guess the Girth... laugh.gif

People ice climb that later on in the winter.

Nitt,

I will say that eventhough it's been 20-40 below zero around the Northeast Kingdom, the snowpiles definitely have compacted..you notice this particularly in the Stonehenge Courtyard.
I'm actually getting used to this weather..I do wish spring would come but ahh whatever if I was able to handle last winter this one shouldn't be that bad.
I believe this morning we bottomed out @ 20 below.

I can understand getting used to it a little more. Last winter was rough becasuse you had snow day after day after day. Not quite the case this winter even though you'll still end up above normal. If this averages out and you get a few winters of 70" or 80" it will seem like a piece of cake.

It's funny though how Mike loves it up there and John seems like he can't stand it. I can understand it being boring when you are younger. I was very bored growing up in Sussex county but that's defintiely not the case anymore. Take advantage of it while you can though because there are always things you can do that you might never get the chance to do again. Montreal and Quebec City are very close. Boson, Mt. Washington once it's warmer, the coast of Maine, etc. It's much easier to hit those places now then it will be later on once you're out of school and in the real world.
