A year or two ago, it wasn't too late to act. Now we're beyond the point of no return. What has changed? I have less and less faith in this crap everyday.

It's almost like they're off in the corner pouting now.

See? You didn't do anything, now it's too late! Hmmph!

This is an amazing article. I hope it is true. John Coleman admits that some of what he is writing is conjecture, especially when mentioning that Roger Revelle had doubts about his theories in his old age. He says that Roger Revelle's motives in pushing his concepts regarding the CO2 problem, were only to get funding for all his research. That appears to be speculation to me, however, I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. People will do anything to receive funding.

They certainly weren't expecting this, and the unexpected new land acreage is creating real estate squabbles:

Interesting, I hadn't heard of this. That land should go to the government as part of a coastal preserve or national park or something. I would assume that this will further contribute to rising sea levels elsewhere as the water has to go somewhere.

This is just further proof that scientist do not know the consequences of many things. Global warming or cooling may bring completely different results than those advertised.

now they say 300000 people die/year and will double sue to climate change.

Last spring when there was a high incidence of tornadoes it was due to global warming. This year that we are thus far below average...its due to global warming. Either these people are stupid...or they think the public is stupid. Which is a fairly good assumption.

Anyone see the ABC special "Earth 2100" last night? I caught bits and pieces of it in between commercials while watching the Stanley Cup Finals. To me, it seemed like more speculation and fear-mongering from the mainstream media. It was basically the story of a woman who is born in 2009 and sees the devastating changes brought about by global warming firsthand throughout her life, up until the year 2100. Massive plagues, droughts, major coastal cities deluged by floods, incalculable loss of life, etc. I'm not saying that it's impossible, but to me it's a bit irresponsible to say that this is definitely going to happen. Like I always say, we still can't get a 5-day forecast right; what makes anyone so sure about what will happen 50-100 years from now? 30 years ago, everyone dreaded the potential dawn of a new ice age.

Just more of the biased, mainstream media pushing their left-wing agenda.

Was it documentary style? Or more movie?

Sounds like a good plot for a disaster movie.

Kind of a hybrid. It was narrated by a woman who was born in 2009 and lived to see all of the changes the earth underwent in the 21st century as a result of global warming. It was the story of her experiences, interspersed with interviews with climatologists and other weather experts.
