These were taken 2 days later on MLK day. Awesome hike in Allamuchy SP up to Deer Park Pond.

Someone ice fishing

These were taken 1/17 on Allamuchy Pond. They look a little weird because i was standing on the pond. Someone was ice fishing so i figured it was safe.

I actually went back to Stephens yesterday morning. It was pretty cool to see the ice had expanded a little but the biggest difference was how much thicker it was. I'd say generally 6-12". Plus much of it was snow capped. It was pretty cool looking and it really looked like i was in Maine or Idaho. Didn't take any pics though.

BTW on my pics above make sure you view them in their reduced size (double click on any one if it isn't already and it will do the trick for them all at once). Full size is a little blurry but it's very clear at reduced size.

Thanks. I'm really enjoying this winter being able to hike in the snow and everything. Being in school really held me back i think and i was never able to do it. Plus i definitely expect this to be my last winter up here. Don't worry when i move you guys will be in great shape i just know it!

I need to start learning more about cameras too. I just basically have it on auto and hope for the best LOL. Sometimes close objects are clear and the distance is blurry. I want to start taking better quality pics. Took these with a Canon camcorder i got for xmas.
