Hello here is my first forecast, happy.png

Temps: average to slightly below average with some cold temps but average temps likely. My ranging temps would be 36-40 temps. Some cold days but i don't expect days below zero. ALot of frezzes erly in november and janerary. I expect the coldest month will be janerary.

Precip: slightly-above average snowfall and a couple of snowstorms and blizzards possible. WHile i don't expect alot of alot of days of snow but i do expect alot of coastal and land snowstorms that will be the case of this year. This is really really stupid of me but i will take a shot at this what the case is right now. Snowfall with be from 20-50 inches of snow now i'm guessing i'm going to be way off but i'm just taking a shot at it.

STORY: WIth the a weak el nino now i do expect this el nino to become moderate before winter and last the entire winter. The PDO is going to be cold i'm expecting. ANd i will tell you the rest of the story sometime tomarrow happy.png

Feel free to agree or disagree happy.png

I chose average temps with above normale snowfall. I chose 30-40 inches. I think this will be a great winter for many of us along the coast.

I agree but i also do think temps will be average to slightly below average not much of a diffence for our forecasts and i picked 30-40 inches of snow and above average snowfall which snowfall amouts i think could be greater than what i picked.

Wow. The 11 year old's maps look a lot like a DT map. And I'm more inclined to go with Christian's ideas than Dave's. Just saying. BTW...I do think this could be a more...intriguing, shall we say...winter for the northeast.

I'm more supportive of LR forecasting than most if not all on this board, but even I have to say it's about 3 months too early for winter outlooks. So much can change in terms of signalling during the early/mid autumn.

Hello here is my latest forecast:
Temps: average to slightly below average with some freezing temps but not real freezing temps alot of frost though. This is my first forecast don't get to excited or sad

Precip: Average to much above average with alot of blizzards and snowstorms at the end of the winter season well the beginning won't be much of excitement. I expect 15-25 inches of snow well my best totly snowfall forecast would be close near 19 inches for philly area

Here are the major cities snwofall forecast:
philadelphia: 15-25 inches expected 19
washington,DC: 15-20 inches expected 16
new york city: 20-30 inches expected 25
pittsburgh: 20-30 inches expected 26

First forecast though.

Overal forecast

average snow and temps
near average blizzards, snowstorms in the otherhand i do expect the el nino to possibly turn to nutral. Or weak possibly moderate

Here is the % forecast
weak el nino: 60%
nutrul patteren: 20%
moderate el nino: 20%

Not one of the best winters ever just like last winter pretty much if the pattern changes here would be my forecast

hello here is my forecast [not alot of detail because this is my backup forecast if the pattern changes]

Temps: below normal with freezes and cold spells and alot of cold days and frosts will be likey alot.

Precip: way above normal with alot of snowstorms and blizzards with alot of snowfall with some major blizzards if this winter changes out like this it would be like the winter of 2002-2003, and 1997-1998.

Here is my reglar forecast month forecast:
December: average temps and average precip with 1 snowstorm and 1-5 inches of snow

Janerary: average temps and average to slightly below average precip with 1 little snowstorm. 1-3 inches of snow

Feberary: below average temps and slightly above average precip with 2 little snowstorms and possibly a blizzard and this will be the most active. 5-10 inches of snow

I'm a snow lover but i'm not wishcasting and be honest.
The next forecats is going to be very detailed!!!

So NYC is going to see less snow than last winter? Also, this patten is not going to be the same pattern we have been experiencing for the past couple of winters. The regime has changed from a La Nina to an El Nino pattern. That is going to be a big influence to the weather pattern. I think that NYC,Philly and D.C are going to see more snow than what we have experienced in the past 2 winters. If I would make a guess on how much snow for each region, I would say: 30-45 for NYC, 20-30 for Philly and 15-25 for D.C. It all depends on how things evolve in October and especially in November. So far, things are looking good.

You mean you actually read that? Well I guess you had to and that's why I could never be a moderator. I'd have read a sentence and then put it on a "read at your own risk" OT thread with a warning that it was untested for language.
