From Sunday morning update -- we now begin a 10 to 15 day period of major stormy and cold pattern; no significant warm-up coming anytime soon for the east; major coastal storm goes up the east coast the week of 2/26.

JB's been on a roll with the pattern lately; we'll see. Not sure if this is a good thing but I actually agree with him on a colder than normal end of Feb into the first week of March. Brief moderation to slightly sbove ave later this week. Weakly neg AO/NAO yields the cold hanging tough over New England and the positive anomaly centered in the mid-west.

Cold is the key - we will get a big snowstorm between now and March 17th if we can hang onto the cold -- Feb will enter the record books as a top ten cold(for NYC and much of the country East of the Mississippi) if we do not go too mild in the next 10 days - time will tell :)

The meteorologists on tv said that theres gonna be a pattern change to warmer weather starting this week,only :o brief cold shots,not the ones that last a long time and they didnt say anything about stormier,i hope jb is right

someone want to tell me how he gets away with the crap he writes.I heard this morn on abc a few cold shots but are moving into a flatter zonal flow.Sounds like warmer to me.Someone should hold that ding ding accountable fpr some of the things he says.

i got no clue winterbird,i saw abc to and i heard them say about a flatter zonal flow,hes been good lately and maybe hes sees something that we all dont see,look at storm posts,he agrees with him

there is nothing he gets away with, he is just damn good and i would take his words seriously, he is not a henry!!! now henry is the one that gets away with things.

i definetly agree virgaman,jb knows wut he is talking about most of the time,meanwhile henry dont have a frigen clue wut he is saying and wrong most of the time

Is this what you mean agrees?It will be cold shots but nothing lasting very long when they do happen.Other than that if that zonal flows happens doubt if we see to much in the way of snow from here on out,unless cold air is locked in at the same time we get a storm with some blocking?JB is as up and down as this winter and he likes to build you up just to let you down and i get tired of hearing about him.Sounds to me as if he is taking alot of people.
